Making A Memorable Impression Is Key To Marketing Online.

  Making a memorable impression is a must if you want your business to stand out in the crowd. It does not matter whether your business is a ma and pa , brick and mortar type of business, or if you are making your income online. Standing out and making an impression is of upmost importance when competing in the business world.
Most people that make their income online with a program try to come across as a bigshot, a high roller, as someone that is doing great and doesn’t have a problem in the world. Case in point, I watched a you tube video entitled making an income online. The gentleman in this video was wearing a suite that was two sizes to big, he had some form of diplomas on the wall behind him, and was reading from a script that made him come across very cold and monotone.Why do people have to try and play the big shot when promoting a program online? I honestly think that it works against them in most cases. No one wants some stuffy, pompus individual telling them how good they are doing , they want to see an average ” joe” trying to make it.
My own personal marketing videos are as down to earth as they can possibly be. I personally do not dress up in a suit , nor do I go off of a script. I have a general subject idea, and a low key setting,(like my boxing gym), and I am very personable. If you ask any of the people that follow my channel, they will tell you that they can relate to me , because I am on their level, I am an average person just trying to make an income online. I believe that people relate to you much better when you are not trying to talk down to them.
Trying to make that memorable impression is actually much easier than trying to come across as a big shot. If you go to a business seminar, and you watch ten salesman give their pitch, which one do you remember? Do you remember the nine that are trying to not mess up, not slip up, not make any mistakes. No you don’t because they are all that way. But you will more than likely remember the one that looked out into the crowd and talked to you personally. The one that didn’t keep their focus on their script, but instead ad-libbed from time to time. You remember the one who made the interesting facial expressions, or told a silly story off the cuff. They may not have as good a product, or as good of a presentation, but they were personnable and down to earth, and most of all you remembered them, and not the other carbon copy nine that went before.
You need to step into the spotlight when presenting your business or idea, otherwise nobody will know that you even exist. Approach it from a show business standpoint. Be your own director and decide what role you want to play in your given marketplace. People dont want to be over entertained, they don’t want to buy from a comedian, but they also don’t want a canned speech and presentation either.
The main point here is to be yourself when presenting your product or service. People know when someone is genuine and honest, just like a dog can smell fear, people can normally sense your sincerity, even if you mess up your presentation. Whether you are trying to make your income online in a business program, or if you are presenting your brick and mortar store to the public, be as entertaining as possible, without going overboard and annoying or offending anyone.
Ask yourself, how do I come across to other people, what does my character look like and sound like? Decide what you want to known for. It is important for entrepreneurs to find their story, and tell their story, all the while being colorful and authentic.
